But once that toon hits 93, you are only saving the 63k igg it would cost to gamble one up. So if you want to hang onto boss drop amulets until you have a level 92 toon to do the crafting, go for it. And once you hit clvl 93, then you are guaranteed to gamble an ilvl 88 amulet.

Those Alvl 85 boss mob amulets are only useful for clvl 92 crafters. And if you have ammy's layinig around that *could* be from a trash mob, just charsi them bro, it's not worth the headache. So if you're not sure whether they were from trash mobs or bosses, you might as well throw them out. The amulets from the bosses / minions need to be paired with a character of clvl 92 in order to reach the Ilvl 90 target. If it was from a random trash mob in those areas, then the amulet is garbage. They are only useful if they dropped from a boss or minion on an Alvl85 area (those drops will be ilvl 88). To clarify for the OP in case that last post didn't really answer your question: the fact that the amulets dropped in an Alvl 85 area is not enough information. So clvl 90 with any ilvl 90+ will have a chance at +2 skills It's possible to craft a good ammy from shittier drops or lower character levels, but those are the only farmable methods. Craft this up with clvl 88 or higher and you're good to go. But it's extremely inefficient there, you are much better off grinding up to at least like 90, ideally 93.Īlternatively, crafting ammys dropped by certain high-level mobs also work: any ammy dropped from an Alvl 85 minion or boss mob, or Hell D, or Hell Ball, or Hell Nihl. So the answet to the OP's question is that the minimum clvl to gamble ilvl 88 ammys is 84. clvl 92 gives a 90% chance, clvl 91 gives an 80% chance, and so on, down to clvl 84 gives a 10% chance. So to guarantee ilvl 5, clvl 93 is required. For gambled amulets, the ilvl is a random number between clvl-5 and clvl+4. Check out this godly crafting guide from 2009, specifically post #2:
